Calling Out My Lovely Husband....

Soooo pretty much on a daily basis my hubby tells me I am not blog worthy. That if I am gonna have a blog I need to update it a whole lot more than I currently do. I think he is so addicted to reading blogs that he might as well do his own. So here's a friendly little challenge to my lovely husband.

"If my blogging is not satisfactory to you then lets just see how well you can do it. I have set up a blog for you and now it's your time to begin the challenge, so without further ado here it is http://www.jimthebrickman.blogspot.com get goin' on it!" Love you and can't wait to read your first blog!

Now everyone please go to his site and make sure he is blogging sufficiently! And if he is not meeting the blogger requirements let him know!

My Weekend Project....

This weekend I got a wild hair to re-do the bathroom floors. Don't ask me where I come up with these crazy ideas. I was so tired of looking at all the scratches, dents, skuffs on the floors that were given to us when we bought this house. So after living here 3 years I finally decided to give the bathrooms a small face life, and boy did it make a different. Now of course they are not perfect, seeing that I have never done anything like this before. But I think I did a pretty darn good job! Take a look for yourself!

Notice the spots on the floor. I spilled hair color. Shhhhh don't tell anyone I actually color my hair.

I did'nt get a picture of the boy's bathroom before I started, but here it is finished!

Proudest Moment As A Parent....

A few weeks ago our church hosted VBS. Thanks to Flo our boys were able to make it everyday. This VBS was a life changing experience for PayBo. On the fourth day of VBS he came home and was telling me he had talked to Mrs. Kathy about being saved and being baptised. He said they talked for awhile and decided he was not quite ready. After asking me and his dad tons of questions on Thursday night he said I know I'm ready now mom. He said I am going to talk to Mrs. Kathy again tomorrow and get saved and so he did. Two Sundays later PayBo went to the front of the church to talk to Bro. Nathan and told him he knew Jesus and wanted to be bapt-t-tized (that's how he says it). The following Sunday he was baptized!

How amazing!

This will be a time he will never forget!

This will be a time Jim and I will never forget!

A Baby Shower....

We put on a small baby shower for a co-workers daughter. At the last minute my friend Rhonda and I were asked to help decorate and help serve so of course it's hard for me to say no to something like that since I love decorating things. Here is just a few pictures from that event.

I threw this little arangement together at the last minute for a centerpiece

Like Sons, Like Father....

I know I have the saying a little backwards, but you'll understand when you are finished reading this blog.

Monday nigth I was asked ever so nicely to cut my kiddos hair. There is just something about cutting little boys hair. It seems to fly every where and before I know it I'm covered in hair. But since I am certified (not prefessional though so don't get any ideas) I guess it's easier and cheaper to just do it myself.

So I started off with Colby and he got up on the stool and said "Bushhog me momma" so at his request I did so. But first he wanted to look like his grandaddy so we did. Take a look

After I was finishewd with Colby it was PayBo's turn to get in the hot seat. So I asked him what do you want, he replied "short on the sides and a little on top. Then his daddy had to make a remark, "come on PayBo you get a bur and so will I". PayBo thought about it, and said to his daddy no he didn't want to. Well I started cutting PayBo's hair and talking to him saying come on PayBo don't you wanna see your daddy with no hair. So he gave in and said ok you can bushhog me to. So I guess you know where I am going with this.

YES JIM GOT A BUR TO...CHECK IT OUT

Aren't they to cute! Now Jim and Colby really look alike don't they?

My Love For Photography....

I have seen so many people put posts out to show your favorite rooms, show your mess, show this and show that. So I have decided to start my own. It's a little scary though because you see all these people who have done these that have 100's of people replying and I will be the person that has one...haha! So here's the shout out: Share your favorite picture or pictures that you have taken. It does not matter if I know you or not please feel free to join in. It could be of your children, weather or nature it doesn't matter. I just love looking at photos and I know there are many others out
there that do as well. Have fun!

Here is just a few of mine and I will add some more later this evening.

A Call For Help....

As most of you know I am walking in the Breast Cancer 3 Day in Dallas, Texas. I would love for everyone who visits my blog to add a link to their own promoting that walk to help me raise money. As you can see I have a direct link on my page where people can go to donate. In order for it to go to our team this link must be clicked. Or you can just go to www.the3day.org and click donate and put my name (Andi Green) and it will work that way. Anything you can give will help! All proceeds will go to support Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation!
PLEASE SHOW YOUR SUPPORT TO HELP THOSE GOING THROUGH THIS DISEASE!

Our Eventful Trip To Linden....

This past weekend we took a trip to Linden to be with Jim's dad for father's day. We still had four puppies left so we had to take them with us. So I am gonna paint you a very funny picture, feel free to laugh along with me!

We start off Saturday morning bathing and drying all four puppies so that they would not stink up the truck. After we were through bathing them we took them all back out to the kennels until time to leave. About 30 mins later we got the truck all packed up, and loaded up the puppies into the cab of the truck. Yes I said CAB of the truck! Imagine four 9 mth old big puppies in the front of the truck. That would make a good story just in itself! OK so we are driving and driving and driving and Jim stops in Tyler at a gas station to let them out to run for a few minutes. While he looked after the puppies Colby and I went into the store to grab a drink. When we came out Jim said, "the puppies rolled in the sewer". I was like your kidding, but sure enough they smelt just like Poo! OK so now we both look at each other trying to figure out what we were going to do to get these puppies all the way to Linden smelling like that and having

sewer all over them. So Jim says to me, why don't you run back up to walmart and grab a dog box, while I stay here with the puppies. I replied thats quite a ways to go back to walmart. So across the street was a Dollar General so I told Jim let me run across the street and see if they have any dog boxes. Jim was a little skeptical about there being any there but I had made up my mind I was gonna go look before I had to go all the way to walmart. So Colby and I drive over to the store and go in, and the whole time saying to my self (please have one please have one). Guess what? They did!! So I bought two boxes because they

were not big enough for all four to fit in one. We drive back over to the store and Jim was quite surprised that I came back with them. So we get the dogs in the boxes and of course had to go back in the store to wash up. So Jim loads the dog boxes back into the cab of the truck. Yes I said it again the CAB of the truck! SO Jim opened up 2 air fresheners and placed them under the seat to help with the lovely smell we had to endure the rest of the way to Linden. Finally we arrived in Linden and happily got out of the truck to grab a huge breath of fresh air. By the way we are now down to 2 puppies. Any takers?

Colby Is Offically In First Grade....

My little man is growing up right before our very eyes. It seems like yesterday we moved to Athens when he was just 3 months old. And now here he is 6 years old and a kindergarten graduate. He sang two songs and then he got to walk across the stage in his little maroon cap, with the tassel dangling in his face. The diplomas they got are 10 times better than my high school diploma. (How sad). Way to go Colby!
