We're All Wet.... This Time It's At My Office...

I get to work this morning and I see a wet floor sign on the door, and i'm thinking what in the world is going on? Little did I know what I was about to see! A hot water heater had busted and it flooded pretty much over half of the building.

Needless to say we all had to roll our pants legs up and help out until the professionals got here. And by the way 7 hrs later and they are still here sucking water up!

On The Upside....

Well Saturday we went to Tyler to get some new flooring for the house...and after more than 2 hours at Home Depot we finally have new flooring sitting in our kitchen. Its not as dark as I would have liked but we needed quite a bit and everything I wanted they did'nt have enough of. So we settled on this!

Red Envelope Project....

I read this off of another blog and thought it was a great idea! To read more about it you can go here...

Here is all you have to do:
Get a red envelope. You can buy them at Kinkos, or at party supply stores. On the front, address it to:

President Barack Obama
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Ave. N.W.
Washington , D.C. 20500

Seal the envelope and on the back,
write the following message.

This envelope represents one child who died in abortion. It is empty because that life was unable to offer anything to the world. Responsibility begins with conception. Even you, President Obama, stated during the National Prayer Breakfast " There is no God who condones taking the life of an innocent human being."

Put it in the mail, and send it. Then send this website to every one of your friends who you think would send one too. I wish we could send 50 million red envelopes, one for every child who died before having a a chance to live. Maybe it will change the heart of the president.

The House Saga Continues...

Gonna start this blog off with a ton of pictures

This is the hole in the boys bathroom

This is one of the guys jackhammering

This is the bathroom sink and counter...yes it is in my living room floor!

Where my bathroom cabinets were (and yes Keri this was new floor but thankfully they did not mess it up to bad and I have a few extra pieces of flooring)

Jim working on taking up the carpet tack strips

Me sweeping up all the sand that was under this carpet.

There were at least 30 dust pans full of sand from under the carpet!

So what do y'all think of our new look....im calling it "Industrial Misshap"

The plumbers are coming back tomorrow to put the bathroom counter back in and the sink, I think after seeing all that sand under the carpets we have decided to put something like this...

Anything at this point is better than carpet!!! I mean concrete...haha!

Update on House and Sickness....

Well I made it to Houston and will be heading home this evening because I have to work Wednesday. So far so good on the sickness thing for me and Jim. And the boys both went to school today.

The house on the other hand is a different story. From what I hear there was another hole jackhammered into our slab in the boys bathroom. The bathroom cabinets tore out and floor messed up in there. However they did find the leak and fixed it! They are back today to fill in the holes. When I get back home I will post more pictures (Jim took some for me). The insurance adjuster also came today which I don't know why seeing that they may not pay for any of it but keep your fingers crossed and the prayers coming that they will... I am gonna hate to see this bill!!!!

Our Crazy Week/Weekend....

Of course it was a busy week because of the usual work and kiddos but this week on Wednesday Colby had a bad headache so when he came home from school he went strait to bed and did not wake up until 3am when he started with stuff coming out both ends and I bet y'all can figure out what I mean by that. So Thursday morning I took him to the Dr. and they said he had the Viral Flu and there was nothing they could do it just had to run it's course. Then he said and don't be surprised if it goes through the household. Well Saturday morning I was glad no one else had it so I thought we were in the clear....we went out to eat tonight and by the time we were done eating Paybo had a bad headache and said his stomach was hurting. So as we are leaving the restaurant as soon as we made it outside PayBo of course started throwing up. So who's next? I bet it will be me with my luck and I am planning on leaving in the morning to head to Houston to spend a few days with my mom.

If that was not enough Friday morning when I left for work I thought I heard some water leaking but I could not find it. So when Jim got home from work Friday afternoon he heard it. So of course I am a bad wife and I did not let him know and it was to late for a plumber so we spent Friday night with no water because he had to turn it off because it was making our water meter run like crazy! So first thing this morning a plumber came over at 8am and started to work.

9am - Still looking for a leak
10am - Still looking for a leak
11am - Rip up carpet in living room and hallway still looking for a leak
12-12:30 - Lunch
12:30 - Bring in air compressor to run through the lines to still look for a leak.
1pm - Think we found where the leak was coming from
2pm - Jackhammer enters the living room (yeah scary I know)
2:30pm - Hole in the hallway (Inside the house through the slab)
3pm - still diggin out dirt from the hole to get to the pipes
4pm - still diggin out dirt from the hole and almost make it to the point where they need to be
4:15pm - Cover the hole with a piece of plywood and leaves to return Monday

What a disaster!

This is the dirt that came out of the hole they put in our slab!

Oh by the way Happy Valentine's Day to all!

My Hunters....

When will they quit growing? Now Jim even has Colby wanting to tag along! I have got to put a stop to this thing we call GROWING UP!

Jim, his dad, PayBo and Colby all went on a hunting trip together on Friday. Of course Colby just tagged along to watch becuase he is not quite big enough. PayBo had a blast on his first quail shoot, he killed two birds. I think Jim and Ronnie enjoyed it just as much as they did!

Update On Mom....

So for those of you wandering my mom has had all her bone scans, and PET scans done post stem cell transplant and she got the final results today....

She is in REMISSION!!!!

What a blessing! She has been so worried and stressed out waiting on the results so when I talked to her today she seemed like a whole new person. She was told she could go home tonight if she wanted to. She will have to go get tests done every six months to keep an eye one it. It is a scary fast acting cancer so please pray for her to stay healthy!

Thanks to everyone who has prayed for her! This is a prime example of what prayers can do!!!!
